Luton Grappling Club is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu and grappling school based at 76 Stuart Place in Luton. It welcomes complete beginners, with no fitness or previous training required, and offers a free first class with no purchase or sign-up obligation. The club teaches grappling focused on grips, position and leverage, helping students control an opponent rather than strike. Classes are available in gi and no-gi formats, with a broad timetable of 41 sessions a week, from early mornings to evenings and across weekends.
Programmes include adult classes for beginners and experienced practitioners, women-only training, and children’s classes for ages four to thirteen, with age-group sessions and separate classes for boys and girls. No-gi training requires a rash guard or T-shirt and shorts; a gi can be lent to newcomers attending a gi class. The club’s coaching team includes black, brown and purple belts, among them its founders and specialist gi, no-gi, women’s and children’s coaches.
