The Ghost

Luxoreum is the creative studio of Charles Baldwin, a filmmaker, photographer, and inventor based in Corning, New York. Its work explores how light, visual systems, and digital workflows shape perception and meaning, bringing together visual craft, structured production, and experimental technical practice.

The studio develops experimental films and light-painting cinema, including Mysterious, A Visual Symphony, an animated visual symphony created entirely from long-exposure photographs. The feature film is being prepared for festival and platform release and was licensed for distribution by Atmosphere TV in 2026. Luxoreum also presents photography spanning abstracts, panoramas, motion studies, documentary work, and other subjects.

Alongside its creative projects, the studio pursues invention and systems development, including a patent-pending invention and custom desktop tools for creative practice. Its ongoing exploration considers how AI and emerging digital tools can extend creative work. Luxoreum’s archived photography was selected by NASA in 2018, and its broader history includes award-winning music and documentary projects. The site also features video and music-related work.
