LV Stolberg

Luftsportverein Stolberg e.V. is a gliding club that welcomes people interested in learning to fly and experiencing the sport of soaring. Based in Stolberg, the club organizes gliding activities on weekends and public holidays, generally from Easter through early November, weather permitting. Members fly on Saturdays and on Sundays and public holidays, with published operating hours varying by day.

The club offers opportunities to learn gliding, including a taster course available through a cooperation with VHS Stolberg. Its training and club activities include practical instruction, flight camps and opportunities to progress through flight tests. The club also maintains and operates a fleet of gliders, including the two-seat ASK 21 and the Janus CE, a high-performance two-seater. Seasonal events, such as its summer flight camp and traditional sunrise flying, bring members together for flying and social activities. News from the club shares updates on training, aircraft, flight operations and local events, helping prospective pilots and visitors learn more about gliding and life at the club.
