LW: Zweckverband Landeswasserversorgung

Landeswasserversorgung (LW) is a municipal association that supplies drinking water to large parts of Baden-Württemberg, serving around three million people. For more than 100 years, it has sourced water from groundwater and springs, treats it for drinking, and distributes it through an extensive network. The organization also uses river water as a resource and describes its work as focused on reliable supply and consistently high water quality.

Its services include water treatment and distribution, drinking-water analysis, groundwater protection, and information about water quality and sources. LW also offers services in construction, operational management, laboratory work, and water metering. Customers and members can access water-network information and related resources.

To share knowledge, the association publishes educational and technical materials, answers common questions, and arranges visits to its waterworks and the Erlebniswelt Grundwasser exhibition. It provides public notices and procurement information, and offers career opportunities, vocational training, study programs, and internships. Landeswasserversorgung also highlights efforts to secure and expand water resources and generate electricity from renewable sources as part of its strategy for dependable drinking-water supply
