Lydian Armenia

Lydian Armenia is a mining company focused on developing the Amulsar gold deposit in Armenia. Drawing on international experience, modern technology and the expertise of its team, the company presents its work as a contribution to the country’s economic development and future. Amulsar is described as Armenia’s first metal deposit discovered since independence, with 73 tonnes of confirmed gold reserves. The project represents a reported investment of $750 million and is expected to create more than 1,000 jobs.

Gold recovery at Amulsar uses heap leaching, a method the company says is being introduced in Armenia for the first time. The process operates in a closed-loop system and does not use a tailings dam. Alongside mining, Lydian Armenia highlights workplace safety, environmental management, biodiversity conservation and social responsibility. Its stated priorities include supporting the well-being and sustainable development of communities affected by the project, with annual social investment and land-lease payments among its contributions. The company also offers career opportunities and promotes professional growth for its employees.
