The Danish Association of Lymph Therapists is a professional non-profit organization for Danish Physiotherapists, who holds a certification as Lymph Therapist. The Association was formed in 1994 and is now a subgroup under the Danish Association of Physiotherapy together with 16 other subgroups of Physiotherapy. To date, the Danish Association of Lymph Therapists has 164 members and arranges courses in Lymphedema related topics for its members. Together with teachers from the Földi School in Schwarzwald, Germany, the Association also holds the course in certification as Lymph Therapist in Denmark. The chairman from the Danish Association of Lymph Therapists are a part of the Danish Lymphedema Framework (DLF) together with representatives from the Danish Patient Association for Lymphedema (DALYFO) and the Danish Knowledge Centre for Lymphoedema at Bispebjerg Hospital in Copenhagen. The Danish Association of Lymph Therapists seeks to keep members updated on evidencebased practice and new research topics and provides a Facebookgroup for members to debate and share news on Lymphedema topics. The Association wishes to collaborate with DALYFO and health care professionals and industry partners engaged in Lymphedema - both nationally and internationally.
