Lynas Rare Earths is an Australian company and the world’s only significant producer of separated light and heavy rare earth materials outside China. Established as an ethical and environmentally responsible producer, Lynas operates the Mt Weld mine and concentration plant in Western Australia, recognized as one of the world’s premier rare earth deposits. The mined material is shipped to the company’s advanced processing plant in Gebeng, Malaysia, where it is separated into high-quality products for customers in Asia, Europe and the United States. Lynas emphasizes product provenance from mine to finished material, environmental management, and engagement with local employees, suppliers and communities. Its operations are certified to ISO standards for environmental management.
