Daily Bread is an independent 501(c)(3) charitable organization that has been serving the Lynchburg community since 1982. Their mission is simple: to serve those in need, no questions asked. Daily Bread provides meals to a diverse range of individuals, including workers who have recently become unemployed, those with temporary or part-time jobs struggling to make ends meet, the elderly and disabled on fixed incomes, families with young children, single parents, and individuals facing mental health challenges.

They prioritize making sure that no child goes hungry. Originally founded by the First Presbyterian Church of Lynchburg, Daily Bread has grown and now operates from their Clay Street building, which underwent significant renovations in 2013. Recently, renovations have been made to expand their kitchen space, doubling their capacity and allowing for quicker and safer service to their guests.
