Lynn Hollyfield

Lynn Hollyfield is a renowned singer-songwriter and musician known for her powerful vocals and skilled acoustic guitar playing. With roots in Staten Island, NY, Lynn began her musical journey at the age of 10, drawing inspiration from diverse influences such as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, the Beatles, Cream, and CSNY. Her debut solo album, Layers, released in 2010, made waves in the folk music scene and received widespread acclaim nationally and internationally.

It features a collection of ten original songs and carefully selected covers, showcasing Lynn's unique blend of contemporary folk, pop, blues, and jazz. Layers was recognized as one of the Top Albums of 2010 on the Folk DJ Playlist. Lynn's mesmerizing songwriting captures universal wisdom and celebrates the journey of life.

Her heartfelt lyrics and angelic voice have earned her three WAMMIE nominations, including Best Contemporary Folk Vocalist and Songwriter of the Year. Lynn's musicianship is further complemented by her accomplished guitar playing, which has been described as solid, strong, and perfectly timed. Throughout her career, Lynn has continued to hone her craft and has attended prestigious songwriting schools and conferences.

In addition to her solo work, she supports local musicians and songwriters through hosting the SAW Open Mic and producing annual concerts at the Homegrown Coffeehouse.
