Lynn Mendoza-Khan

Lynn Mendoza-Khan is a Portland-based conductor, soprano, composer, arranger, vocal coach, and music educator with more than two decades of experience across classical, folk, and contemporary music. Classically trained in voice and piano, she draws on a wide range of traditions, including opera, barbershop, mariachi, musical theatre, and folk music. After building her career in San Diego, she has become an active part of Portland’s music community, known for innovative choral direction, cultural advocacy, and empathetic mentorship.

Lynn offers private voice and piano lessons, helping students develop their skills in a supportive, practical learning environment. She also provides vocal coaching, leads choral projects, collaborates with other artists, and is available for concerts and gatherings. Her performance programs include An Evening with Emily, featuring poetry by Emily Dickinson set to music by several composers.

As founder and artistic director of the Latinx Choral Project, Lynn promotes culturally relevant repertoire and inclusive musical spaces. Through her performances, teaching, and community work, she uses music to foster connection, identity, and joy.
