About LZVO
LZVO (Latvijas Zāļu verifikācijas organizācija) is dedicated to ensuring safe medication for all residents of Latvia. Their verification system aims to prevent the distribution of counterfeit drugs and ensure that they do not reach consumers. As a new level of medication safety, LZVO operates uniformly across all European countries.
Manufacturers label each package with a unique code, which is then entered into the European database. Wholesalers verify the authenticity of the medication and deliver it to pharmacies and medical institutions. These institutions remove the unique code from the European database.
This rigorous process ensures that consumers receive verified and safe medications. In addition to their commitment to medication safety, LZVO also places a strong emphasis on customer service. A recent survey conducted in May received high praise, with LZVO's customer service receiving an overall rating of 4.
