The Guild of Surveying Engineers (Maanmittarikilta, MK) is an association for people interested in built environment, as students or otherwise. The guild is especially for students in the degree programs of Built Environment, Real Estate Economics, Spatial Planning and Transportation Engineering, Creative Sustainability and Urban Studies and Planning. Established in 1901, MK is the oldest student guild in Finland which still receives new students every year. The guild has ca. 400 members and even though the guild is old, it is very versatile and active. The most important tasks of the Guild are advocacy and supervision of our members’ rights, educating new students about university life beyond official studies, and arranging fun activities for the members.

About Maanmittarikilta
Maanmittarikilta is an association for students and anyone interested in the built environment. Established in 1901, it is the oldest guild in Finland that accepts new bachelor's degree students. With approximately 400 members, Maanmittarikilta offers a diverse range of activities and remains active in its operations.
The guild's main tasks include mentoring new students, organizing leisure activities, and advocating for the interests of its members. The guild's headquarters, known as Kiltahuone, is located in Konetalo 1 building at Otakaari 4, where students can relax, play games, enjoy coffee, or work on course assignments together. Maanmittarikilta's biggest event is the annual spring celebration called Kevätpäiväntasaus, which brings together current students and alumni from years past.
Additionally, the guild hosts smaller parties and events, including sittings, training sessions, and excursions to industry companies. Maanmittarikilta also has representatives in the administration of the Department of Built Environment and the School of Engineering, ensuring that students' voices are heard
