Suomen Maasäteilyntutkijat ry (SMY) is a Finnish association focused on human well-being, nature, housing and everyday life. Founded in 1980, it brings together people interested in studying phenomena commonly referred to as earth radiation, including their characteristics and possible effects. The association also addresses concerns related to electromagnetic radiation and different types of electric fields. Its approach combines traditional knowledge with research, discussion and the development of members’ understanding.
SMY offers courses, participates in fairs, and arranges home visits. Its activities aim to teach people how to identify places they believe may adversely affect their vitality. Regional clubs provide opportunities for members across Finland to meet and share experiences. The association also holds an annual spring meeting event and a one-day autumn meeting.
