Pourvoirie Mabec is a fishing outfitter on Quebec’s Côte-Nord, about 85 kilometres northeast of Sept-Îles and 900 kilometres from Montréal. Set among the hills and boreal forest near the Manitou River, its 105-square-kilometre territory includes a network of lakes and rivers known for trophy brook trout, including fish averaging 900 grams or more. Mabec offers two fishing packages of varying lengths.
The American Plan provides a guided experience, while the European Plan combines accommodation with greater independence. Both include a 16-foot motorized boat, and private rooms with bathrooms offer comfort in a remote wilderness setting. Guests can also enjoy a fireplace, bar, satellite television and Wi-Fi.
Helicopter transport between Sept-Îles and the outfitter is available through Mustang Hélicoptères.
