Macel Sellier is a French saddlery specialising in handcrafted, made-to-measure saddles for horses and riders. Founded in 1968 by Philippe Guillot de Suduiraut in Deauville, Normandy, the company introduced lightweight sports saddles with a flexible tree, designed to encourage close contact between horse and rider. In 2008, the brand and its concept were taken over by Patrick Fesquet, who had worked in the Macel workshop since 1987. Under his management, Macel has continued to refine its products in both design and technical features, drawing on his experience to support performance while promoting the well-being of horse and rider.
Macel’s range includes custom saddles, second-hand saddles, textile items and accessories, as well as leather-care and cleaning products. The company also offers saddle options and services, and provides online saddle configurators, including one for the Gala S model. Through its workshop and advice on saddle care, Macel serves riders seeking thoughtfully crafted equipment and a considered approach to riding.
