MACgeorgia

McLain Association for Children (MAC Georgia) is an organization based in Georgia that supports vulnerable people of all abilities, particularly persons with disabilities, and the families and communities around them. Its work combines direct services with education, practical resources, and efforts to build local capacity, helping people make informed decisions and pursue greater independence and participation.

MAC Georgia offers psycho-educational services, including psychological consultation, diagnostic services, technical assistance, and professional development. Its occupational therapy team evaluates children and adults and provides recommendations, training, and support to families and caregivers. Family and community services equip people with knowledge and skills to advocate and lead in their communities. The organization also supports rural school students through English-language training, after-school assistance, and financial help for higher education.

Additional programs include small grants for disability-related community projects and Let’s Play Together!, which promotes friendship and inclusion. Through Shuki Movida and other initiatives, MAC Georgia raises awareness, while its resource work translates and organizes science-based disability information and details about available services and government support.
