Founded by James and Deborah, Mackintosh Gin draws its inspiration from the rich history and natural beauty of the Angus region. The area, known as the birthplace of Scotland, is steeped in Viking, Roman, Pict, and Celt heritage, with ancient standing stones scattered throughout the landscape.
James and Deborah's passion for gin led them to embark on a journey to create their own unique blend. With close to 100 bottles of gin now proudly displayed on their shelves, their dream has become a reality. Mackintosh Gin is a true family affair, with their three daughters actively involved in the brand's development.
The brand's logo, the Lover's Knot, is a symbol found on a 9th-century Pictish stone discovered near Meigle.
