Mack’s Pines Recreation Area is a family-friendly outdoor destination in the Ozark National Forest near Dover, Arkansas. Owned by Greg and Laura Simpson, the property was established in 1978 and welcomes individuals, families, and groups seeking outdoor adventure and comfortable lodging. Hundreds of nearby trails accommodate ATVs, side-by-sides, dirt bikes, horseback riding, hiking, and mountain biking, with routes offering views of waterfalls, creeks, caves, wildlife, and other Ozark scenery. The area also provides access to scenic motorcycle trips along Highway 7 and to the Big Piney Creek, a National Wild and Scenic River known for fishing; canoe, kayak, float, and raft rentals are available nearby.

Guests can choose cabins for two to seven people, primitive campsites, or RV sites with water, electricity, and sewer hookups. Mack’s Pines also offers horseback riding, a café serving home-cooked meals and burgers on weekends, and a convenience store stocked with snacks, drinks, and ice. Trail access is available seven days a week, and reservations can be made by phone, email, or Messenger.
