Manhattan Association of Cabarets (MACnyc) is a New York organization promoting cabaret and live entertainment since 1983. Its mission is to advance the art and business of live entertainment, bringing together performers and the professionals who help create, produce, and support shows. Its membership includes cabaret, comedy, and jazz artists, along with directors, musical directors, technical directors, musicians, club owners, booking managers, composers, lyricists, journalists, publicists, artists’ managers, agents, and other supporters.
MACnyc provides a community and platform for people working across the live-entertainment field. It shares a calendar of MAC-hosted and member-submitted events, and presents the MAC Awards, recognizing artists and work in the cabaret community. Its website also features award information, nominated songs and CDs, past award records, videos, photos, club listings, and resources. Additional programs include the Burman and Wallowitch Awards and MAC to School. Members and audiences can follow MACnyc on social media and listen to the MAC Channel on AccuRadio. The organization is based in New York City.
