About MACRO
MACRO, the Malawi AIDS Counselling and Resource Organization, is a locally registered NGO founded in 1995 to support government initiatives in combatting the HIV and AIDS crisis in Malawi. As a pioneer of HIV Rapid testing in the country, MACRO offers a range of services to all individuals, including adolescents. With seven ongoing projects, MACRO provides HIV Testing Services, Clinical Services such as HIV Testing and Counseling, Antiretroviral Therapy, and Health Talks, as well as Family Planning Services.
The organization focuses on Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research to ensure efficient resource allocation and program improvements. Through initiatives like the PIVOT-2 project, funded by the CDC, MACRO continues to make a significant impact in districts like Blantyre, Lilongwe, and Mzimba.
