Macross World is an independent fan community dedicated to the Macross franchise, serving fans since December 1, 1999. Its website brings together editorial posts, a searchable archive, and access to the Macross World Forums, where enthusiasts can connect and explore their shared interests. The site’s coverage includes Macross model kits and collectibles, with articles documenting vintage releases, box art, kit histories, and visits to hobby collections and warehouses.

It also features material related to neighboring anime and model-kit interests, including Mospeada and Orguss, reflecting the range of classic Japanese collectibles followed by its readership. Posts can include detailed photographs, commentary, and updates about where fans may find featured items; one article, for example, directs readers to the Wise Guys Hobbies eBay store and encourages them to ask about items not yet listed. Macross World is therefore primarily an information and community resource rather than a retailer, offering fans a place to discover collectible releases, revisit hobby history, and engage with fellow enthusiasts
