About MadMonkeyRoom
Mad Monkey Room is a Berlin comedy club founded in 2017 by siblings Nina and Nico Böhm. Created as a home for the city’s comedy scene, it gives emerging performers a place to take their first steps and established comedians a stage to develop new material. The club moved to larger premises at Danziger Str. 1 in May 2021, near Eberswalder Straße, while retaining the intimate, independent feel of its beginnings.
Mad Monkey Room presents live comedy seven days a week, with two shows each evening. Its programme includes open mics, mixed bills, solo performances, late-night shows, and special events featuring visiting and well-known German comedians. Open mics let audiences see performers try new jokes, while mixed shows bring experienced acts and promising newcomers together. Solo shows offer a featured comedian’s full set in a close-up club setting. With a main stage for larger performances and a smaller “living room” space for open mics, the venue offers a varied, direct experience of Berlin stand-up comedy.
