Madascota

Madascota Animal Aid is a volunteer-led, nonprofit association registered under France’s 1901 law, bringing together veterinarians and animal-welfare advocates to support animals in Madagascar. Its work focuses on improving animal welfare and reducing the number of dogs and cats living on the streets. The association raises public and young people’s awareness of animal welfare, and provides care, food and support for animals that are sick, injured, malnourished or abandoned. It also organizes sterilization campaigns to help manage animal populations and vaccination campaigns in a country where rabies remains widespread.

Madascota supports animal adoption, with information on adoption conditions and a pre-adoption form, and features puppies, adult dogs, dogs with disabilities and cats seeking homes. People can contribute by volunteering, providing a foster home, sponsoring an animal, becoming a member or making a financial donation. The association also seeks medical supplies, medicines, vaccines, antiparasitic treatments, food, collars, leads, bedding and transport cages. Madascota is based in L’Isle-Adam, France, and shares updates through its website and social media.
