Madebyheroes is a small-scale creative day programme in Amsterdam for young people with disabilities who need time, personal support and a safe environment to explore their next steps after school. Its atelier offers a welcoming space where participants can learn at their own pace, develop confidence and discover their abilities alongside peers.
Through hands-on work in art and design, young people learn creative techniques such as screen printing, ceramics and textiles. They collaborate on real products, building practical skills as well as teamwork, structure and independence. The programme is designed to support personal and social development while helping participants consider their future prospects.
Madebyheroes also runs its own shop, selling design products developed and made together with the young people in the atelier. Products are made with care, using sustainable materials where possible, and proceeds go back towards the organisation’s mission and opportunities for participants. The brand invites young people seeking creative day activities in Amsterdam, as well as customers who want to support their work, to connect with its community and approach.
