M.A.D Multisport

M.A.D. MultiSport is a triathlon coaching and endurance sport business founded by the Moriarty family in 2003. The name stands for Mike, Ann and Dominique. The coaching business began in Boksburg, Gauteng, after Mike Moriarty recognised the need for training support while preparing for his first full Ironman. Today, M.A.D. MultiSport also operates in Cape Town and supports athletes of different ages and abilities, from beginners to experienced competitors, across triathlon distances ranging from mini events to the Extreme Series.

Its coaching plans include individual contact with coaches and daily check-ins to help athletes stay informed and supported throughout their training. The business also runs training camps and clinics, from introductory sessions with startup guidance to race-specific, on-course preparation. Additional services include affordable bike transport to major events in South Africa and tailor-made cycle tours along scenic South African routes. M.A.D. MultiSport presents its approach as professional and friendly, with coaching that values mentorship, personal growth and a sense of community alongside athletic development.
