About Madswimmer.com
Madswimmer is a charity with a daring spirit and a big heart. They take on challenging swims in order to tackle significant issues and raise funds for children's charities. What makes Madswimmer truly unique is their willingness to take on extraordinary feats, like swimming for hours in the Alaskan Pacific alongside Orcas.
The organization was born out of a friendly bet in 2009 when Jean Craven and Tim Ziehl successfully completed a 17 km swim across the Strait of Gibraltar. Feeling remorseful about taking their friends' betting money, they decided to donate it to various children's charities and thus, Madswimmer was established. Since then, Madswimmer has grown immensely, amassing over 10,000 fans on social media and forming a team of more than 400 swimmers from around the world.
