Mädchenhaus Kassel e.V.

Mädchenhaus Kassel 1992 e.V. is a feminist, girl-centered nonprofit organisation with long-standing experience in youth services. Based in Kassel, it creates safe, supportive spaces where girls and young women can build confidence, develop their abilities and shape their own futures. Its Malala Mädchenzentrum is an open drop-in space for girls aged 6 to 27, offering creative activities, learning support, conversation and time together. Queer&Young Kassel provides a welcoming youth drop-in for young people aged 9 to 27.

The organisation also offers confidential counselling and support. Services include pregnancy and pregnancy-conflict counselling, advice on confidential birth, and Amani’s support for people facing forced marriage, violence committed in the name of honour or female genital mutilation. LK2 provides free, confidential counselling for adults affected by sexualised violence, as well as support for their supporters and professionals. The association also advises and trains professionals, delivers prevention work on female genital mutilation, and undertakes advocacy to promote girls’ rights and protection from violence. Counselling is available in several languages, with interpreters arranged when needed.
