The Associazione Valdostana Maestri di Sci (AVMS) is the regional professional association and college for ski instructors in Valle d’Aosta, Italy. As a non-economic body dependent on the regional government and supervised by the tourism authority, it represents local ski instructors and coordinates the region’s ski schools. Its work includes protecting and supporting the profession, maintaining the professional register, and providing training and continuing education.
AVMS offers courses and updates across alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing and specialist disciplines such as telemark. It also provides information and services for professional registration, renewals, transfers from other Italian regional colleges, insurance, seasonal ski passes and instructor-related agreements. Through its wholly owned service company, AVMS Service, the association supplies official uniform clothing and technical equipment exclusively to members, with a catalogue and showroom at its headquarters in Aosta. The website also shares professional news, events, regulatory information and resources for instructors, alongside an official app for registered members. AVMS serves both established instructors and people seeking to qualify in Valle d’Aosta.
