Magadért Alapítvány

Magadért Alapítvány, known as “A HELY” (“The Place”), is a Hungarian foundation offering community-based support for people affected by addiction, related difficulties, and challenging life situations. Its work also includes support for family members and others close to someone experiencing addiction. The foundation runs regular groups for people with substance or behavioural dependencies, relatives, and participants seeking personal development or help with life-management and psychological challenges. Topic-based groups are also offered, with themes and formats announced periodically.

Alongside group sessions, A HELY provides individual, couples, and family consultations. Its six-month diversion program combines individual and group meetings and is designed to build skills that can help prevent drug dependence or relapse; participation requires the relevant official documentation and a recent assessment. The foundation emphasizes acceptance, mutual support, honest sharing, self-understanding, and practical approaches to change. It also shares articles and videos and directs visitors to the 90 Lépés online educational program. Supporters can contribute through tax donations, bank transfers, supporter cards, or donations of goods and services.
