Richard Magalad IRAP CISM MACS

Richard Magalad is an ICT consultancy and advisory practice led by an experienced technology professional with three decades in the industry. Beginning his career at the State Bank Victoria division of Commonwealth Bank, Magalad gained experience with enterprise technologies and has worked with organisations including MYER, Maurice Blackburn, Macquarie Telecom, the Australian Taxation Office, the Reserve Bank, Epworth and the Royal Children’s Hospital. His services include strategic advice for CIOs, ICT managers and small and medium businesses, systems integration, complex infrastructure support and cyber security assessment.

As an Australian Signals Directorate-endorsed IRAP assessor, he independently evaluates security risks and helps organisations identify ways to protect their systems and data. Magalad also brings extensive experience in mining technology, including a decade as an IT director supporting uranium, gold and diamond projects in Australia and overseas. His project interests span IP, security, surveillance, commercial and retail technology, and large networks.

The practice also supports emerging ICT professionals through mentoring, internships and careers events, and explores practical ways to assist community organisations through reuse of old hardware
