Al-Maghfirah Cemetery

Al-Maghfirah Cemetery is a nonprofit Muslim cemetery serving the Minnesota community from 72 acres in Castle Rock Township near Farmington. Established to provide Muslims with a dedicated place to bury loved ones according to Islamic rites, the organization aims to offer families dignity, care and a lasting community resource. The land was purchased in 2014 and paid for in full through community support.

Phase 1, completed in June 2025, prepared about five acres of burial grounds with nearly 5,000 burial lots, internal roads, paved parking, stormwater management and evergreen trees. The cemetery is exclusively for Muslims, and its use is approved for cemetery and funeral services, including on-site ritual washing and prayer facilities. Phase 2 is focused on building the Masjid & Ghusl Center, with rooms for washing and shrouding the deceased, a prayer area, community hall, and service and administrative offices.

Once complete, the center will enable the cemetery to open for burials
