MAGICAonlus

MAGICA Onlus is an Italian nonprofit association supporting people and families affected by inherited cardiovascular diseases. Founded in 2006 by a patient connected with the Cardiovascular Genetic Diseases Center at the Policlinico San Matteo in Pavia, the organization works alongside the center’s medical professionals and collaborates with other nonprofits. Its mission is to reduce the isolation and fragmented care often experienced by families dealing with complex, multisystem conditions, while promoting reliable information, research, and mutual support.

MAGICA helps patients and families understand their conditions and how to manage them through direct contact, educational resources, and annual meetings and conferences. Its information covers disorders including Marfan syndrome, Loeys-Dietz syndrome, long QT syndrome, hypertrophic and other cardiomyopathies, vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy. The association also raises funds for research and improved care, organizes charitable events and awareness campaigns, and shares accessible medical updates. Donations, including Italy’s 5x1000 tax allocation, support its activities and research into new therapies.
