About MAGNELIQ project
The MAGNELIQ Project is a groundbreaking endeavor supported by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program. Its main goal is to develop a new class of materials known as magneto-electric (ME) liquids. Through a combination of experimental studies and theoretical modeling, this project aims to design liquids that can have their magnetic properties manipulated by an electric field, and vice versa.
The ME materials created through this project will pave the way for transformative sensing technologies. Some of the notable applications include distributed-force sensors for robotics and prosthetics, miniature contactless rotation sensors for various industries, and remote and secure voltage and current measurements for smart grids.
Coordinated by the prestigious Jožef Stefan Institute of Ljubljana in Slovenia, the MAGNELIQ project brings together a consortium of five partners from Slovenia, Italy, and the Czech Republic. With a mission to revolutionize sensor technology, this project promises to push the boundaries of what is possible.
