The Magnolia Plantation is a bed and breakfast in Gainesville, Florida, and the city’s first inn of its kind. Located in the historic district, the property combines distinctive historic architecture and period furnishings with modern amenities. Owners Joe and Cindy Montalto have welcomed guests since 1991 and live onsite to help make each stay enjoyable.

The inn offers themed guest rooms, private cottages, and vacation rentals suited to romantic getaways, business trips, family holidays, pet-friendly travel, and extended stays. Accommodations range from cozy rooms to more private options, including the Sugarplum Cottage, which is available for longer stays and does not include the inn’s daily services. Breakfast is included when guests book directly; reservations through third-party platforms do not include breakfast.

The property also offers wedding packages and seasonal events and specials. Its location provides access to Gainesville attractions, restaurants, and shopping, with the historic downtown area within walking distance.
