About MAGNT
Welcome to the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT), the premier cultural organization in the Northern Territory. As a not-for-profit institution, MAGNT is renowned for its extensive collections and expertise in art, Aboriginal culture, natural sciences, and Territory history. With museums, art galleries, and heritage sites located throughout Darwin and Alice Springs, we offer a diverse range of exhibitions and experiences.
At our main facility, situated on Larrakia Land at Bullocky Point in Darwin, you can explore internationally renowned cultural and scientific collections, as well as engage with our research and exhibition programs. MAGNT also manages several other sites, including the historic Fannie Bay Gaol, the Museum of Central Australia (which includes the Strehlow Research Centre), Megafauna Central, Alcoota Fossil Bed site, Lyons Cottage, and the Defence of Darwin Experience. With over 300,000 visitors annually, MAGNT is a hub for cultural enrichment.
