Magoo is the artistic identity of Markus Kahlenberg, a photographer and graphic designer based in Königswinter, Germany. His work combines photography with a vivid Pop Art aesthetic, drawing inspiration from Andy Warhol. Since 2017, Kahlenberg has used bold, individualized color treatments to create what he calls “popchromatic” photography. Each image is assessed for its suitability before being digitally edited in Adobe Photoshop, giving selected subjects a striking, poster-like appearance.

The portfolio includes architecture, city scenes, landscapes, and cultural subjects from places such as Bonn, Cologne, Königswinter, Greece, and Mallorca. Alongside popchromatic images, the collection also features black-and-white photography. Works are offered as fine art prints on Hahnemühle paper, including prints made on 310 g/m² paper; some pieces are also presented in framed formats. The website showcases work by year, location, and theme, and indicates that selected photographs are available to buy online. Magoo’s practice brings together photographic observation, digital craft, and expressive color to reinterpret familiar places and subjects.
