Magpie Art Center is a community-focused arts destination in historic Sedalia, Colorado, welcoming people of all experience levels to explore creativity and make art together. Its classes introduce participants to a range of hands-on skills, including drawing, beginning watercolor, hooked rugs, and ceramics. Workshops and special events offer additional opportunities to experiment with materials and techniques, with past activities including clay pot making and acrylic pour-painted rocks. The center also partners with local businesses and nonprofit organizations to bring community events to life.

Located in a charming white house with blue trim, Magpie Art Center features two spacious classrooms and a cozy sitting room and library with art and gardening books. Its grounds include a sculpture garden, for which the center welcomes large sculpture proposals, and a developing native pollinator garden intended to support bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. Volunteers are invited to help with planting, soil preparation, and garden design.
