About Mahra
Mahra NGO is a brand dedicated to encouraging sustainable development in the Mahra region of east Yemen. As a non-governmental organization, Mahra NGO is staffed by locals who are passionate about promoting stability and peace in their community. Their peace-building program, Me & Us, aims to foster stability by giving women a voice and implementing small projects such as practical courses for fishermen and core-skills training for teachers.
In addition, Mahra NGO is actively working to combat the spread of the Coronavirus in their region. They have recorded a short video in the local Mahri language, sharing valuable advice from the World Health Organization on how to protect against the virus.
