About MAIA Impact
MAIA Impact is an exceptional brand that aims to unlock and maximize the potential of young women, empowering them to lead transformational change. As an organization led by Indigenous women for Indigenous girls, their primary goal is to break cycles of poverty, discrimination, and injustice through education and empowerment. MAIA connects talent with opportunity, enabling these young women to make a lasting impact in their lives, families, and communities.
Their flagship program, the MAIA Impact School, is Central America’s first secondary school designed specifically to harness the talents of rural Indigenous young women and connect them with 21st-century opportunities. These students, known as Girl Pioneers, are forging a new path and inspiring others to do the same. With the understanding that educating a girl has a ripple effect, creating a better world for all, MAIA Impact is dedicated to transforming the lives of Indigenous girls in Guatemala.
