Maïkan Aventure is much more than just a service provider - it is the story of a group that wants to share their passion for outdoor activities. The official activities of Maïkan Aventure began in 1996 in the former premises of a logging company. Located along the Saint-Maurice River in Trois-Rivières, their site is easily accessible from Highway 40, making it an exceptional asset for outdoor enthusiasts.

The spirit of Maïkan Aventure is rooted in its Indigenous origins. In the Algonquin community, Maikan means wolf, representing a symbol of spiritual guidance. Their logo, a mandala in the shape of the moon, represents the ancestral influence and guidance of Indigenous people.

Maïkan Aventure aims to offer their community, their pack, the opportunity to practice their favorite outdoor activities in the best conditions, safely and in harmony with nature. They have worked diligently since 2003 to negotiate agreements with the federal and provincial governments, the City of Trois-Rivières, and the local residents to ensure access to this exceptional green space situated in an urban environment. The goal is to promote the harmonious use of this untouched area, which has been preserved for nearly 100 years.

Since 1996, the population and tourists have been able to use the entire grounds for cross-country skiing, ice climbing, cycling, and non-motorized water activities. Since the summer of 2014, Maïkan Aventure has entered a new dimension by offering a true activity complex, featuring an indoor climbing center, a variety of services (boutique, specialized services, packages, and adventure training), and a riverside restaurant and bar.
