MailaFix

MailaFix specializes in repairing broken carbon-fiber ice hockey sticks and selling professionally repaired sticks. The company offers repairs to the shaft, lower shaft and blade, using the patented Canadian Stick Repair System (SRS). For shaft repairs, the damaged section is removed and the ends are joined internally with carbon fiber and specialist epoxy. This method is designed to preserve the stick’s original grip surface and playing characteristics, while leaving the repair nearly unnoticeable. MailaFix states that the repair point is covered by a one-month warranty, and lists shaft repairs at €45.

The company describes SRS as a system used to repair more than 100,000 sticks in North America and several thousand in Finland. It also presents independent stiffness testing showing a repaired Bauer Nexus Geo stick returning to its original stiffness rating. In addition to repair services, MailaFix sells repaired professional-level sticks that have seen use in Finland’s Liiga and Mestis leagues.
