Maille Création is a French worker-owned cooperative specializing in knitwear development and production. Founded in 1993, when 26 employees took over their textile company, it now employs 80 people in France and 30 in Italy. For more than 30 years, the company has worked with established luxury houses and emerging designers, supporting collections for ready-to-wear, haute couture and interior design.
Maille Création offers end-to-end expertise, from design and prototype development through pattern making, grading, knitting, sewing and garment assembly. Its team includes programmers, pattern makers and seamstresses, and its diverse knitting machine fleet serves a range of project needs. Production can span from one-off pieces for couture or exceptional interiors to runs of several thousand units for luxury fashion and hospitality.
The company emphasizes creativity, flexibility and responsiveness, with operations near Paris and in Italy. Since 2021, SCOP Maille Création has held Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certification. Through its cooperative model and technical craftsmanship, it partners with clients throughout the knitting creation process.
