Ekellin*FI is a WCF-registered Maine Coon cattery based in Fallkulla, Helsinki, founded by breeder Elena Kellinsalmi. Established under its registered breeding name in 2020, the cattery belongs to the Finnish Fennica Catus association and Estonia’s CATO association. Its work combines experience with the breed, ongoing education and a strong commitment to responsible, evidence-informed breeding.

Ekellin*FI raises Maine Coons with careful attention to health, temperament and breed type. The cats live as cherished family members, either with Elena’s family or in partner homes around Finland, where they receive individual care. Before breeding, cats undergo veterinary examinations and health screening, including genetic tests for HCM-associated MYBPC3 A31P, SMA and PKDef, heart and kidney ultrasounds, and hip X-rays. FeLV and FIV testing is also reported as negative.

The cattery offers information about its breeding cats, Maine Coon kittens and available litters, as well as breed guidance and care instructions. Most kittens are placed as pets, with homes selected to suit each kitten’s needs.
