Maine Memorial

Maine Memorial Company is a family-rooted memorialist serving families for more than a century, with a history dating to 1919 and three generations of experience. Based in the greater Portland area, the company helps people honor loved ones through cemetery monuments and custom gravestone memorials designed to reflect individual memories and wishes. Its work is presented as lasting, personal art, combining stone craftsmanship with a range of design choices.

The company’s offerings include monuments in various granite colors, along with custom carving and etching. Carving options include flat carving, shape carving, and sculpture, allowing families to select details and forms suited to the memorial they envision. Customers can explore a gallery of completed work and learn about the memorial design process through the company’s website.

Paul A. DiMatteo, a third-generation stone cutter and memorial artist, welcomes visitors and offers personal guidance. Maine Memorial Company invites families to make contact to discuss how it can help create a tribute that expresses love and respect. In-home appointments are available upon request.
