The Baldwin Online Children's Literature Project is dedicated to bringing classic children's books from the golden age of children's literature (1880-1922) to today's readers. Since 1999, the project has provided a vast collection of children's books, and in 2012, Gateway to the Classics was launched to offer even more books and innovative tools for content grouping. All the resources from mainlesson.
com have now been merged into Gateway to the Classics, making them available for free with enhanced formatting and illustrations. In addition to books and stories, visitors can enjoy a wide collection of poems, some with audio, and songs from classic works. The project aims to create a culture of reading and invites readers to explore the new content available at gatewaytotheclassics.
