About Maison Gainsbourg
Maison Gainsbourg is a cultural institution in Paris dedicated to preserving and sharing the work of artist Serge Gainsbourg. Located on Rue de Verneuil, it offers visitors access to two connected sites: Gainsbourg’s historic home at number 5 bis, where he lived for 22 years and whose interior has been preserved since his death in 1991, and a museum at number 14 exploring his life and career. Visitors can choose between two experiences: a combined “House & Museum” visit or a museum-only visit. Tickets are currently available for visits through November 1, 2026.
The site also includes the Gainsbarre, a restaurant and cocktail bar inspired by the atmosphere of Gainsbourg’s home, and a bookstore and shop offering collections selected to reflect the artist’s world. The Gainsbarre can be hired for private events, with the option to combine an event with a visit to the house or museum. Group visits for 10 to 30 people are available Tuesday through Friday. Maison Gainsbourg also offers an online shop and newsletter.
