Make Golf Your Thing

Make Golf Your Thing is an American golf industry initiative focused on making golf and its workforce more welcoming and accessible. Launched in 2020, it brings industry participants together to support broader participation and inclusion across the sport. Its work includes public communications, industry resources, partnerships, and the Grassroots Grants Program, which helps organizations introduce underrepresented groups to golf.

The grants program is facilitated by the American Golf Industry Coalition, a division of the World Golf Foundation. Since May 2021, it has awarded 457 grants totaling $3.5 million to 200 organizations. In 2026, the program is distributing $500,000 among 69 organizations nationwide. Recipients include youth golf groups, community foundations, adaptive golf organizations, and programs serving women, people of color, military veterans, and other communities.

Through funding and collaboration, Make Golf Your Thing aims to expand opportunities to experience the game and engage with the golf industry. Its website also shares news, stories, information about grants, and resources for organizations working to make golf more accessible.
