Maker Faire is a festival celebrating inspiration, creativity and innovation, bringing together the maker community across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Its events invite visitors to explore projects, exchange ideas and meet people who enjoy inventing, building and experimenting. Exhibits span fields including robotics, artificial intelligence, sustainable technologies and traditional crafts, offering a varied experience for makers and curious visitors alike.

The brand’s website helps people discover upcoming Maker Faires, including the annual event in Hannover, and provides exhibitor listings, event programmes, photos and videos from past gatherings. Visitors can also use its directory to find nearby makerspaces and connect with local makers. The site shares news and sends a newsletter twice a month with updates about events and related topics.

Maker Faire events in the German-speaking region are independently organised under licence from Make Community LLC. The related Make Media publishes the Make magazine and has introduced Makey & Friends, a children’s technology magazine for ages five to ten featuring comics, puzzles, craft projects and technology content.
