MakerMods creates robot arms for home, workshop, and Physical AI projects, designed to turn everyday instructions into practical actions. Users can text or speak a task, or demonstrate it by hand using a leader arm. The company’s products connect to a world action model that translates plain-language requests into robot movements, while demonstrated tasks can be sent for training.

Its Maker Arm features a modifiable 3D-printed frame and RobStride actuators, with six arm joints, a gripper, and a 1.5 kg payload. It is available as a build-it-yourself kit or as an assembled, bench-tested unit. Metal Arm is a six-axis, machined-aluminum model with a 3 kg payload and ±0.1 mm repeatability; it arrives assembled and calibrated. MakerMods also offers two-arm stations, the SO-101 leader-and-follower kit, and the ElRobot 7+1 DoF leader-and-follower pair. The company provides MakerMods Lab workflows for calibrating, recording, training, and evaluating robot behavior, plus public software and community resources. Metal Arm’s SDK and firmware are MIT licensed, with ROS drivers and URDF available on GitHub.
