About Makers Wales
Makers Wales is the National Craft Organisation for Wales, dedicated to championing Welsh craft makers and inspiring a love for craft. With Craft in the Bay as its home, a unique Landmark Heritage building in Cardiff, Makers Wales offers a range of products, services, and programs. Their Craft in the Bay gallery showcases contemporary original prints and artwork, including a current exhibition titled Hedfanol, featuring stunning prints of birds and winged creatures.
Visitors can also enjoy a delightful dining experience at the on-site restaurant, Giovanni's in The Bay. Makers Wales goes beyond exhibitions and art with their commitment to community engagement. Through craft demonstrations, workshops, and community programs, they actively involve audiences in learning about craft and fostering creativity.
They even offer digital room and gallery hire services. With a rich history dating back to 1984, Makers Wales remains true to their volunteer-led Maker Co-operative roots. They continue to inspire, support, and celebrate craft, making them a unique and indispensable part of Wales' craft scene
